The MEAL landscape is changing quickly. Funding pressures, rising accountability expectations, digitisation, and stronger demands for evidence-informed decisions are reshaping how programmes design and use information systems.

The MEAL Spotlight Series was launched to create space for practitioner-led conversation about those changes. Instead of idealised frameworks, the series focuses on lived delivery realities, practical skills, governance, adaptive management, and the implications of emerging technologies.

Conversations like these matter because good systems are not built by tools alone. They are built by communities of practice that challenge assumptions, share lessons, and keep asking what evidence is for.
